Our EnvironmentThe daily routine at the Kindergarten incorporates activities such as:
Outdoor play in our large leafy playground where the children can engage in many activities including play equipment, sandpit, ball games, swings and our special cubby house. The children also learn to cultivate in the outdoor space through a multi-sensory garden where vegetables, herbs and flowers grow. We have fruit trees, a worm farm and a large digging patch where the children can make rivers and dams using water from our rainwater tanks. The day continues inside with puzzles, painting, drawing, craft, games, dolls corner, construction activities and free play. The children celebrate belonging to a group through a variety of experiences and activities including music, play, language sessions, dramatic play and more. The children have a wonderful day at our Kindy! Sustainability At Buderim Community Kindergarten we take great pride in all of our sustainability efforts. Currently we have three water tanks that service both our drinking water and grey water. On top of this we have a bank of solar cells, a functioning worm farm and native bees. We also have an edible backyard with a wide variety of fruit trees. |
