Our  Program

Our Program

In line with the Queensland Government’s ‘universal access’ policy, Buderim Community Kindergarten offers a five-day fortnight program for children aged between 3 and a half to four and a half years old.

To help you determine which year your child is eligible for kindergarten please use the kindy calculator via this link Starting kindy (earlychildhood.qld.gov.au)

There are 22 children enrolled in two groups who attend the Kindy from 8.30am to 2.30pm. The Monday group attends Monday, Tuesday and alternate  Wednesday and the Thursday group attends Thursday, Friday and alternate Wednesday.

Educational programs at  Buderim Community Kindergarten follow the standard set by the Federal Government's National Quality Standards, the Australian Curriculum, Belonging Being & Becoming: The Early Years Learning Framework and the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines 2010. For more information  www.qsa.qld.edu.au

Flexible Routine

The daily routine at the Kindergarten incorporates activities such as:

Outdoor play in our large leafy playground where the children can engage in many activities  including play equipment, sandpit, ball games, swings and our special cubby house.

The children also learn to cultivate in the  outdoor space through a multi-sensory garden where vegetables, herbs and  flowers grow. We have fruit trees, a worm farm and a large digging patch where the children can make rivers and dams using water from our rainwater  tanks.

The day continues inside with puzzles, painting, drawing, craft, games, dolls corner, construction activities and free play.

The children celebrate belonging to a group through a variety of experiences and activities including music, play, language sessions, dramatic play and more.

The children have a  wonderful day at our Kindy!
